Newcastle United are yet to really bolster their first-team squad in this summer’s transfer window.
The first piece of business the Magpies did was sell Anthony Gordon to Barcelona for £69million before seeing a deal for his replacement hijacked by Liverpool.
Eddie Howe’s side thought they had reached an agreement to sign Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna but lost out after Liverpool swooped in.
The only incoming so far is the £18million arrival of French goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen from Stade de Reims, however he is expected to spend next season as the club’s second choice.
But at academy level, Newcastle are making progress as they reportedly close in on the signing of two exciting young prospects.
As per The Secret Scout, the Magpies have agreed terms with 16-year-old right-back Kyle Healy-Matthews following his departure from West Ham, while the club are also looking to sign teenage midfielder Eli Hall from Ipswich Town.

Healy-Matthews is expected to link up with Newcastle’s under-18s side after making six appearances for the Hammers in the U18s Premier League last season.
Hall, meanwhile, is likely to join the Magpies after turning down a new scholarship deal with Ipswich. In March, Hall became the Tractor Boys’ youngest player ever to feature for the under-18s at just 14 years and 165 days old.
